Lister Terms & Conditions

1. Lister acceptance

By creating a listing, you agree to these Terms, The Streets Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Community & Safety Guidelines, and applicable laws.

2. Accurate information

Listings must accurately represent:

• The property, service, business, or opportunity
• Price
• Availability
• Location
• Requirements
• Terms
• Restrictions
• Other material information

You must provide truthful, current, and complete information.

You must promptly update information that becomes inaccurate.

3. Authority to list

You confirm that you have the legal authority to advertise the property, service, business, opportunity, or resource you are listing.

You must not list another person’s property or business without authorization.

4. Newcomer-focused purpose

Many users may not have:

• Canadian credit history
• Canadian rental history
• Canadian employment history
• Canadian references
• Established financial records
• Other conventional documentation

You acknowledge that The Streets was created in part to help newcomers who may face barriers in traditional Canadian markets.

Listers are encouraged to consider reasonable and lawful alternatives.

5. Fair and lawful screening

You may establish legitimate eligibility requirements.

However, your requirements must comply with applicable Canadian laws, including applicable human rights, housing, privacy, employment, consumer protection, and other legislation.

You must not use The Streets to unlawfully discriminate against applicants.

6. No unlawful fees

Listers must clearly disclose all applicable fees, charges, deposits, and other financial requirements.

Listers must comply with applicable laws governing deposits, rental charges, service fees, refunds, and other payments.

7. No misleading listings

You must not:

• Advertise unavailable properties
• Use fake photographs
• Misrepresent prices
• Hide material conditions
• Impersonate another business
• Create fraudulent listings
• Misrepresent qualifications
• Publish bait-and-switch offers
• Otherwise mislead users

8. Communication with users

You must not:

• Threaten users
• Harass users
• Pressure users into paying
• Request unnecessary sensitive information
• Exploit a newcomer’s lack of Canadian knowledge
• Misrepresent legal requirements

Listers must communicate professionally and respectfully.

9. Protection of user information

Listers must not:

• Sell user information
• Share information without authorization
• Publish private information
• Request unnecessary government identification
• Request passwords or banking credentials
• Retain personal information longer than reasonably necessary

Information received from users through The Streets must be handled responsibly and only for legitimate purposes.

10. Transactions

Unless specifically stated otherwise, iNorde is not a party to transactions between Listers and users.

The Lister is responsible for fulfilling commitments made in its listing.

11. Listing content

You grant iNorde permission to display and promote your listing within The Streets and related iNorde communications and promotional materials.

You remain responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to photographs, logos, descriptions, trademarks, and other materials you submit.

12. Listing review

We may edit, reject, remove, suspend, or restrict listings that:

• Violate these Terms
• Are fraudulent
• Are misleading
• Create safety concerns
• Violate applicable law
• Receive credible reports of abuse
• Are inconsistent with the purpose of The Streets

iNorde may review listings for compliance with platform policies.

13. Verified status

Where The Streets provides verification or badges, verification does not constitute a guarantee, endorsement, legal certification, or guarantee of performance.

Verification only indicates that iNorde has completed the specific verification process identified for that badge.

14. Lister responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Your listing
• Your communications
• Your contracts
• Your transactions
• Your legal compliance
• Your tax obligations
• Your relationship with users

15. Suspension or removal

iNorde may suspend or remove a listing or account where reasonably necessary to protect the platform or its users.

Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent removal.
