Terms of Use

1. Purpose of The Streets

The Streets is designed to connect newcomers and community members with:

• Housing and accommodation
• Businesses
• Community services
• Settlement resources
• Employment and opportunities
• Products and services
• Community organizations
• Events
• Educational resources
• Other opportunities and resources

The Streets is intended to help reduce barriers that newcomers may face when establishing themselves in Canada.

2. Eligibility

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You must be legally capable of entering into agreements applicable to your use of the App.
• Where applicable, minors may only use the App with appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

3. Account responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login information
• Providing accurate information
• Maintaining accurate profile information
• Preventing unauthorized access to your account
• Activities conducted through your account

You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Listings and user content

Users and Listers may submit listings, photographs, descriptions, reviews, messages, advertisements, and other content.

You remain responsible for the content you submit.

You represent that you have the right to submit and publish such content and that it does not violate applicable law or another person’s rights.

5. Third-party Listers and services

The Streets may contain listings from independent landlords, businesses, organizations, service providers, property managers, individuals, and other third parties.

iNorde does not automatically endorse, guarantee, verify, or assume responsibility for every listing or third-party service.

Users should conduct appropriate due diligence before entering into an agreement or transaction.

6. Housing

The Streets may facilitate connections between newcomers and housing providers.

iNorde does not guarantee the availability, legality, condition, ownership, safety, pricing, or suitability of any property listed by a third party unless expressly stated otherwise.

Users should independently verify housing information before signing an agreement, paying money, providing financial information, or providing sensitive personal information.

7. Newcomer access and flexibility

The Streets recognizes that newcomers may not have established Canadian credit, rental history, employment history, or references.

The platform therefore encourages Listers to consider reasonable and lawful alternatives to conventional requirements.

However, The Streets does not require Listers to accept an applicant where lawful requirements are not satisfied.

All users and Listers must comply with applicable human rights, housing, privacy, consumer protection, and other laws.

8. Prohibited conduct

You must not use The Streets to:

• Commit fraud
• Impersonate another person
• Publish knowingly false information
• Scam or defraud users
• Harass or threaten another person
• Discriminate unlawfully
• Promote illegal activities
• Publish sexually exploitative content
• Exploit vulnerable persons
• Collect personal information without authorization
• Upload malware or malicious software
• Circumvent security measures
• Scrape or harvest information without authorization
• Create fraudulent accounts
• Manipulate reviews or listings
• Publish stolen or unauthorized content
• Otherwise misuse the platform

9. Payments and transactions

Unless expressly stated otherwise, iNorde is not a party to transactions between users and Listers. The parties to a transaction are responsible for determining:

• Price
• Payment terms
• Deposits
• Refunds
• Contracts
• Delivery
• Performance
• Other transaction terms

Users should exercise caution before sending money.

10. Intellectual property

The Streets, including its branding, design, software, graphics, logos, text, interfaces, and other original materials, are owned by or licensed to iNorde and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit The Streets without authorization.

11. User content license

By submitting content to The Streets, you grant iNorde a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, format, and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, promote, and improve the platform.

You retain ownership of content you own.

12. Platform availability

We aim to maintain reliable access to The Streets but do not guarantee that the App will always be:

• Available
• Uninterrupted
• Error-free
• Secure
• Free from technical problems

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary.

13. Account suspension

iNorde may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to:

• Protect users
• Investigate suspected fraud
• Address safety concerns
• Enforce these Terms
• Comply with law
• Protect the integrity of the platform

14. Disclaimers

Except where expressly stated otherwise, iNorde does not guarantee:

• The accuracy of third-party listings
• The quality of services
• The conduct of users
• The legitimacy of every listing
• The availability of housing
• The outcome of any transaction
• Employment or housing placement
• The suitability of a particular opportunity

The Streets is provided as a digital platform connecting people, organizations, and opportunities.

15. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, iNorde will not be responsible for losses arising from transactions, agreements, communications, representations, or conduct between users and independent Listers.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Canadian law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Material changes may be communicated through the App, website, email, or another appropriate method.

Continued use of The Streets after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where legally permitted.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in Canada where iNorde operates, subject to applicable federal and provincial law.
